3M Cubitron II Cloth Belt 784F is a polyester-backed abrasive belt that combines 3M Precision-Shaped Grain with premium aluminum oxide for medium-pressure metal grinding and blending. Grades 36+ to 80+ use a heavier YF-weight polyester backing, while grades 120+ to 180+ use a lighter XF-weight backing; both constructions are moderately flexible for flat and slight-contour work. The water-resistant backing allows wet or dry grinding, and an integrated grinding aid is included to reduce grinding temperatures on heat-sensitive alloys. The resin-bonded belt is designed for consistent cutting in industrial grinding and finishing operations while limiting changeouts in pressure-assisted and robotic use.
